Nine million man-hours worked over a period of three years to deliver the biggest ship ever built by a European ship owner and the largest to come into service in 2017

Saint-Nazaire, France, 31 May 2017 – Today at the STX France shipyard in Saint-Nazaire, France, MSC Cruises officially took delivery of MSC Meraviglia. During the ship’s flag ceremony, which pays tribute to centuries-old maritime tradition, the Company’s newest flagship received her official flag and blessings for good fortune. The Flag Ceremony was attended by Mr Emmanuel Macron, President of the French Republic and other high-level dignitaries from the French government. Geneva, Switzerland – May 18, 2017 MSC Cruises – the Swiss-based world’s largest privately-owned cruise line and brand market leader in Europe, South America and South Africa – revealed the names and concepts for the two exclusive Cirque du Soleil at Sea shows that will be performed on board MSC Cruises’ new next-generation flagship, MSC Meraviglia. The long-term partnership between MSC Cruises and Cirque du Soleil will set new standards in live entertainment at sea and will see the world’s leader in artistic entertainment create a total of eight original shows that will be exclusively available on MSC Cruises’ Meraviglia generation ships, coming into service between June 4, 2017 – with MSC Meraviglia – and autumn 2020.

Early booking offers include a Cirque du Soleil at Sea dinner and show experience

Geneva, Switzerland – 1st May 2017 – MSC Cruises – the Swiss-based world’s largest privately-owned cruise line and brand market leader in Europe, South America and South Africa – announced today the opening of sales for MSC Bellissima. For her inaugural season, the ship, which is the much-awaited second of the Company’s Meraviglia-generation mega-ships, will set sail in the Western Mediterranean from March 2019. Sales are initially open exclusively for MSC Voyagers Club members, as one of the many benefits of the programme that rewards loyal MSC Cruises guests. They will open on 15 May for all other guests. The Msc Grandiosa

The MSC Grandiosa will be the new flagship of MSC cruises and start sailing the oceans in November 2019. In its first season the ship will take you to the most beautiful coastal cities of the Mediterranean Sea. Building on the Meraviglia class, the MSC Grandiosa offers even more space in public areas than its two sister ships. Worth mentioning are also the modern environmental technologies the ship is equipped with. These include the on-shore power connection, an innovative wastewater treatment system, a hybrid emission control system and a modern Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) catalyst – measures that reduce the environmental impact. On board, two new first-class shows at the Cirque du Solei at Sea, specially created for the MSC Grandiosa, will take you to breathtaking worlds. The central promenade aboard has boutiques, restaurants and cozy squares throughout the day. In the evening, the square becomes the center of music, parties and entertainment.
